Mike Fisher – Director
Mike Fisher has been a respected and active innovator in the entertainment industry for more than 40 years, specialising in personal management, marketing, P.R., artist agency representation, and corporate entertainment procurement.
Mike’s journey began as a teenager booking the big-name artists of the day such as Bobby Davro, Johnny Logan, Showaddywaddy, Richard Digance, Rose Marie, and Mike Reid amongst others. He also agency-represented many of the top broadcast DJs including Radio One’s Bruno Brookes, Gary Davies, Steve Wright, Simon Mayo, Alan Freeman, and Jonathan King, as well as the rising stars from the new, independent channels such Capital Radio’s Chris Tarrant.
He quickly progressed and moved into artist management when he became the sole agent/manager for celebrities including Evel Knievel, who was a global phenomenon at the time. With Eddie Kidd and Chris Bromham, four times World Champion motorcycle long-distance jumper, also under Mike’s management, he had the world’s four biggest stunt riders in his camp.
At that time, Mike was also sole agent and manager for actors Ross Davison, Lewis Collins, David Soul; best known as Hutch in the classic television series Starsky & Hutch, and he also represented TV presenters Michael Groth, Kim Goody, and sports personalities Barry McGuigan, Terry Marsh, Sharon Davies, and Jackie Pallo.
Mike had become a powerful player in artist management. An artist Mike was particularly proud of managing was music legend and 4 times Grammy-winning songwriter Hawk Wolinski whose credits include Grammy-winning songs for Rufus & Chaka Khan. Hawk also played with the duo and his song ‘Ain’t No Body’ was awarded best Rhythm & Blues Performance by a duo or group. Hawk also wrote songs for major stars including George Benson, The Isley Brothers, Michael McDonald, Joe Cocker, and Chicago.
On the marketing side, Mike was the agent for Phillip Moross of Cutting Edge for ‘Names to Clothes’ with Claire King and Anthea Turner. He also worked with Wot Films for Carlton Television producing their video ‘Body Calling’ featuring Kimberly Davies from ‘Neighbors’ as well as with television companies including LWT, THAMES, BORDER, TVs, and the BBC.
Mike has worked with most of the big music companies and promoters at various times in his long career. He managed top producer Ted Carfrae, who produced and had major hits with stars like Jane McDonald, Engelbert Humperdinck, and David Cassidy, and Mike also worked with Dionne Warwick on her UK tour in 2005.
Mike’s contacts book is the envy of many aspiring agents. In addition to celebrities, film, and T.V. companies, Mike is a friend to most of the national newspaper editors and journalists at many of the UK’s biggest-selling magazines.
Grant Wadey – Director
Experienced entertainment agent and talent manager, Grant has a demonstrated history of more than 44-years in the entertainment & leisure industry.
Grant trained in music, drama, and theatre arts, at Italia Conti and studied media at South Bank University, before commencing a successful acting career. After a few years, he moved into management, which led him to launch his own theatrical agency in 1995. In 1998 he merged his business with Studio One Agency and went on to develop Studio One; together with his co-director, into one of the UK’s leading agency offices.
Studio One managed the entertainment procurement and staging for a number of leisure companies and was the sole entertainment booking agency for Gala Clubs, Pontin’s Holidays, Scottish & Newcastle, Crest Hotels, Airtours Holidays, and Thomson Holidays.
In addition to key account management Studio One also represented a diverse roster of celebrity talent including British and American artists.
Under his direction, Studio One produced several successful theatre shows featuring headline talent including ‘Legendary Ladies of Soul’ which showcased The Three Degrees, The Supremes, and Sister Sledge together in concert for the first time, and toured the UK, Europe, Australia, and the Far East.
Grant has extensive experience with agency management, artist representation, P.R., tour management, marketing, and business development.
